Mr. Robert Randon, a respected gentleman, faithful servant, and beloved member of the Brazoria community, peacefully answered the Master’s call on Friday, February 6, 2026. Robert Randon was born on May 8, 1935, in Brazoria, Texas, to the late Peter James Randon and Lue Ella Randon. Raised in a close-knit and faith-centered family, he accepted Christ at an early age at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, where he first began his spiritual walk. After many years away, following his retirement and return home to Brazoria, he faithfully reunited with his church family and continued his devotion to the Lord. He received his formal education at Charlie Brown High School in West Columbia, Texas, graduating with the Class of 1952. With a strong work ethic and desire for advancement, he continued his education at Prairie View A&M University, earning an Associate of Arts Degree in Industrial Arts. Answering the call to serve his country, Mr. Randon enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving honorably from 1956 to 1958, and later continued his service in the Marine Reserves in 1962. His military experience instilled in him a discipline and quiet strength that would remain with him throughout his life. Robert’s professional journey carried him far beyond his hometown. He lived and worked in San Francisco, California, where he was employed with the historic Cable Car system, and later relocated to Washington, D.C. There he dedicated many years of service to the Federal Government in Security, from which he eventually retired. Though his career took him across the country, his heart never left Brazoria, Texas. A man of fellowship and camaraderie, Robert was actively involved in numerous organizations. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Brazoria — Lodge No. 104, the Brazoria Men & Women of Action, The Hut of Brazoria, and the Greater Washington Bowling Senate. He formed lifelong bonds and was well-known for his steady presence, warm spirit, and thoughtful conversation. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Melvin J. Randon and Harvey Randon; and his sisters, Mozella Thompson, Addie B. Kelly, and Pauline Jones. He was also preceded in death by his dear friends Frank Fields and Robert Bonner. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving brother, Pastor Booker T. Randon (Suzanne) of Brazoria, Texas; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends who will forever treasure his kindness, wisdom, and gentle nature. Mr. Randon will be remembered as a man of quiet dignity, loyalty, and faith — one who lived honorably, served faithfully, and loved sincerely. His life stands as a testament to perseverance, service, and unwavering commitment to family, community, and God.
